THE JANINE TURNER RADIO SHOW -- 9/10/11 -- Sen. Joe Lieberman, TX Sen. Brian Birdwell, and Veterans Sec. Jim Peak

On a very special day, a special edition of the Janine Turner Radio Show. As we remember the tenth anniversary of 9/11, Janine interviews Texas State Senator Brian Birdwell, R-Garland. Sen. Birdwell was a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army and was less than 50 feet away from the plane that struck the Pentagon on that tragic day. Although badly injured, Sen. Birdwell survived and now he tells Janine about that day and his life since then. Janine also speaks to Deanna Burnett-Bailey, whose husband Tom heroically helped to take down the terrorists on the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Burnett-Bailey was left a grieving widow and a single mother on that day, but she persevered and tells Janine her story. Janine spoke to U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman about 9/11 and faith, and to U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs James Peak about the brave men and women in the armed forces who serve and have died to protect our freedoms. Janine sends her heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of 9/11.
